It washes away the sins of Muslims and in this way it is considered worship of great importance.
What is the dress code of women for Umrah?
Women are required to wear the simple dresses that cover their whole body in a simple way. They also remove all the impurities from their body like men and wear the simple dresses to give simple looks leaving their faces and hands uncovered. They are advised to avoid any kind of fragrance that can attract the focus of others while performing the rites of sacred worships.
What are the rites of Umrah for women?
Rites of Umrah are similar for women as like men. Men and women perform all the rites together but sufficient distance is compulsory. If distance is not maintained, it leads to interaction between women and Non-Mehram. This thing destroys whole Ummah and purpose of Umrah is not fulfilled.
Here are the rites of Umrah for both the genders:
• Wearing of Ihram with pure intentions
• Tawaf of Holy Kabah
• Sa’eey (running seven times between Safa and Marwa, an act of Hazrat Hajra)
• Halq
Wearing of Ihram and pure intentions:
Women are required to clean their body completely before wearing of Ihram as Ihram is the pure dressing to bring positive changes in the personality. It is also the sign of simplicity without which a woman or man cannot perform the rites of Hajj or Umrah. Tawaf:
Completion of seven rounds around Holy Kabah in anti-clockwise direction.
Sa’eey:
Act of running or completing seven rounds between Safa and Marwa to commemorate act of Hazrat Hajra.
Halq:
Last rite of Hajj in which women are required to cut a part of their hair as it is recommended in Islam. On the other hand, men get their heads completely shaved.
