I hope this feedback encourages the staff to RuneScape gold earn surveys more targeted to the viewers who actively take part in the content they are polling, or use them as an advisory tool instead of a judgment. I really don’t believe the participant base is very good at determining which content, based on virtue, is great for integrity and the general health of Runescape long term. We view people vote based on self interest. Based on polling, the neighborhood enjoyed 6hr NMZ but it was important to remove. Players don’t vote for any modifications that make things harder for them personally but over time which becomes a negative as content becomes easier and achievements are diluted, these can very slight but readily accumulate.
Another example is PK and PvP related adjustments that are voted against. People even voted against letting pures wear lucky chaps. The only effect of the to accounts that were normal would have been to slightly increase the need and therefore improve profits from clue scrolls. This isn’t an illustration of polling fulfilling the interests of Runescape, it’s only a meme of not enjoying pures. If we just see updates that match the same 75% of people every time that the remaining 25 percent become increasingly marginalised, which is not a good equilibrium when those 75/25 are seemingly so often the same individuals.
I mean thats how voting works irl. Not everyone is going to make sound choices while voting, or create the”right” alternative. If literally everyone left the most educated voting choices. The United States wouldn’t have. Real world example of unemployment, nothing longer. Our voting system isn’t ideal, but its all we got to ensure we do not wind up shoved RS3 players down. Our throats. There are definitely improves that may be made that don’t endanger it though (that are not being achieved or attempted).
What destroy and will kill its own integrity and this game is the constant disregard of this system that jagex is trying to push as evident by this survey and has been doing. Also if jagex cared as much as they say they do about it, then they’d not constantly have confusing and unclear wording in polls. Its a thing too. You’d think it would get evidence read or something. Not even bare minimum work. On the contrary, the polling system functions quite differently to life democracy.
